Shape A shape is 2- dimensional object ,the boundaries of which are defined by other elements (i.e. lines, colours, values, textures, etc.). Shapes only have two dimensions -length and width. Shapes can be open or closed. They are areas with a recognizable boundary. Shapes can be angular or round, big or small. Shapes can be organic or inorganic. They can be free-form or geometric and ordered.
